Happy Thanksgiving! This month, we are thankful for our full schedule, time with family and friends, and the beauty of the changing season.
This year our office will be closed on November 24th and 25th to celebrate time with our families and friends. We have put up some lovely fall decorations around the office, including on counters and lining some of our windows.
And just like everyone else, our favorite part of Thanksgiving is all the delicious food we get to eat. Many of us go for traditional dinners: turkey, pumpkin pie, sweet-mashed potatoes, etc., but we like to explore other dishes too. One time a pomegranate glaze graced someone's table, which is a delicious pairing with turkey. Some of us also serve ham or brisket, and there are always lots of yummy desserts.
Shari, our Marketing Director remembers when she first was given her grandmother’s china and decided to use it for Thanksgiving. When her aunt came in and saw her mother's china on the table, she nearly cried. It was such a wonderful moment, and worth every effort to use the china each year after that!
Thanksgiving is all about giving as well. One of the best pieces of advice is to give people a break when needed. When someone is short tempered, there may be some bigger issue they are dealing with (as are most of us) and it is more likely than not directed at you. We all want to be heard. Also, tell those closest to you how much you appreciate them.
And for a few reminders, our schedule is full through the end of the year. If you need to cancel or reschedule, it will most likely be January or February before we can see your child. We do our best to maintain an ASAP list as openings do occur so, please ask for your child to be put on this list if you want them to be seen sooner. And of course, winter is coming! Check your snow tires, snow blower, and salt supply.
