Office Visits

Our practice is committed to providing your child safe, gentle, and high-quality dental care. We understand that your son or daughter may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to children’s needs, and it is our goal to make your little one feel comfortable visiting our practice while we provide the best possible care.

You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. If old enough, your child should be informed of the visit and told that Dr. Azadpur and her team will explain all procedures and answer any questions.

It is best if you refrain from using words around your child that might cause unnecessary fear, such as “needle,” “shot,” “pull,” “drill,” or “hurt.” The office makes a practice of using words that convey the same message, but are pleasant and non-frightening to kids.

We invite you to stay with your youngster during the initial examination. During future appointments, we suggest you allow your son or daughter to accompany our team through the dental experience. We can usually establish a closer rapport with your child when you are not present.

Our purpose is to gain your child’s confidence and overcome apprehension. However, if you choose, you are more than welcome to accompany your little one to the treatment room. For the safety and privacy of all patients, other children who are not being treated should remain in the reception room with a supervising adult.

Bring your little one’s smile, but also remember to bring these to the first appointment

  • Your completed patient information form (if required)
  • Your insurance card

Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!

Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, all recommend establishing a “Dental Home” for a child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.

We understand your family has a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing for a dental visit, please allow time for a complete visit.
